Upanishads, Vedas, Oneness, One infintesimal Truth — Practical Questions and Insights to Divinity and God Consciousness
So, have you sat in meditation yet? Have you tried contemplate in silence, of silence?
Why do I ask this? I ask this because everything that is said in the Upanishads and Vedas, and everything that is to be known of absolute truth, is within you.
Truly speaking, the Vedas and the highest spiritual teachings are speaking of your own true nature. They are extolling your inherent character of divinity, of oneness, the oneness which appears as multifold. You are truly, God Consciousness, reflected as an individual experience of SELF.
But certainly, you aren’t able to arrive into it. All human effort, is ultimately, the desire to arrive into peace. Everything that is being pursued externally, is essentially, to arrive into a place of guaranteed assuredness, a security, which makes you feel that you will be safe. That you will have peace, and love, and beauty. Man’s inherent quest to have all the things that resonate of perfection!
The material elements, which seemingly are an answer to your desire, however, don’t seem to stand up and deliver to the illusion!
Many, who have acquired wealth, or even good health, can’t really claim to be in a state of permanent peace. So many well established personalities and names are seen and known to be miserable, at times driven to mental illhealth which is so manifested in taking drugs, partying and drinking to the extent of conplete and utter self destruction. If they were in a place of love and peace, would this behaviour be expected?
No.
Then why? What is it that drives mankind to self destruction despite having it all? Why does wealth, fitness, fame and accomplishment, still seem to elude human-kind from everlasting bliss and peace?
Because indeed, (wo)man chases the innate desire to feel ‘one’ within, in the outside world. It seems everyone, is honestly just simply wanting that something, that makes them feel complete and perfect. It’s like a mirage, that when one arrives to, disappears, for another quest to begin.
The mind is so strong, that it fuels man’s imagination to try again, want more, yet again, chasing that illusive mirage of apparent permanent satisfaction, that will never be attained. What is already within, doesn’t need to be found outside. What is within, only needs to be discovered, not acquired.
The Vedas are telling you, that what you desire, is you yourself indeed. The tree is in the seed. That what you are trying to find out there, is all you, within. That all that seems separate, is one, and with (in) you indeed.
Silence is its own evidence. Like light. Silence is self revealing. Contemplate on Silence, for a few minutes each day. Continue that practice. Each day, a little bit more. Slowly, the little Silence, will expand. Gradually, it will envelope you… it will surround you despite the noise outside. Finally, it will be ALL that will remain. And then, Peace, in its permanent form, will have descended already.
As a light streaks through the small opening of the door into the dark room, lighting it up, as the light streak is inherently the entire light itself, not just a part, so are you, a tiny manifested part of truth, the WHOLE truth, lighting up everything with your own knowledge and appearance of SELF on this un-manifested universe, making it seem apparently real. While only YOU are!
Tat-Tvam-Asi. That Thou Art.
In surrender,
Gaurav
